Alvaro Tobar and his partners, made up of close family members and friends, have created something truly special by bringing the authentic flavors of Latin food to life through their restaurant, El Balcón De Las Américas. Known for its fresh, homemade meals and welcoming atmosphere, El Balcón has been a favorite in South Florida for over 28 years. Customers love the flavorful dishes, friendly staff, and the feeling of being treated like family.
Originally from Colombia, Alvaro dreamed of a better life. He left his home to move to Florida and, with the help of his family and friends, turned their shared dream into reality. Alvaro and his partners knew success takes more than money—it takes love, teamwork, and perseverance.
Today, there are eight El Balcón restaurants, each one proving that with family, friendship, and a commitment to hard work, anything is possible. Their story is a reminder that partnerships and dreams can create something truly extraordinary.
